ISRAELI GOVERNMENT DENIES HOLOCAUST

“The claim is that millions died,” said Aaron Lehman of the Israeli Ministry for Historical Revision, “but the world knows this is a vicious lie perpetrated by the forces of global anti-Semitism that want to kill Jews. The Holocaust never happened.  Period.  This week marks the first annual conference that will impress these facts upon the world every year from now on.”

Many reporters were initially confused by the event, and asked why it is anti-Semitic to note that there was a Holocaust.  After all, scholars have documented proof that a program of genocide did exist, and millions did perish.

“Yes, they’ve been claiming that for decades,” Lehman responded.  “It’s just one more means they use to attack Israel.  They don’t want us to succeed, and they’re doing everything they can to destroy us.”

The New York Times produced photos of Jews killed by the Nazis during World War II, and asked Lehman how he could make his claims.

“Those are Jews,” he said.  “Everyone knows they died in the Nazi Holocaust.  We’re talking about the Armenian Genocide.”

From 1915 to 1917, the Ottoman Turks massacred or starved to death millions of ethnic Armenians in Turkey, and drove many more into Central Asia.  It was murder on an epic scale, and caused a global Diaspora of the Armenian people.

After the Times received this clarification, we asked why the government of Israel insists that the Armenian Genocide never happened.

“This conference was partly in response to the conference held in Tehran,” Lehman explained, “but mostly it’s because the government of Turkey wants to send peacekeeping troops to Lebanon. Many Christian Lebanese are ethnic Armenians, and they protest this move, as do many of the Turkish people. However the Turkish government is a strong ally of Israel. Therefore any opposition to Turkish peacekeeping troops in Lebanon is anti-Semitic, and stems from a desire to kill Jews. These annual rallies will show the world that we are united in our resolve to defend ourselves.”

The Times asked if it might be insensitive to triviliaize the deaths of so many millions, whether it be in Rwanda, Cambodia, Satlinist Russia, Ottoman Turkey, China under Japanese occupation, or many other places where mass genocide occurred. Indeed, according to the Bible, when the Jews under Joshua defeated Jericho, they slaughtered every man, woman, child, and animal in the city.”

“We are not trivilizing it,” Lehman responded, “and I resent your mention of Joshua, who acted in accordance with God’s will.  This conference will establish that no matter how many millions of people have been exterminated throughout history, there can be only one genuine Holocaust, and we have exclusive claim to it.”
